My daughter has been attending BUKA for 4 years, and my son for about 6 months. The instructors are amazingly patient, caring, kind, and committed to excellence. The STAR program at BUKA teaches new life lessons each month and requires that students be held accountable for their behavior and responsibilities at home and in school. Not only do they learn traditional Uechi-Ryu karate, they learn self esteem, anti-bullying, and respect. I highly recommend this school to anyone that wants their children to learn self discipline, self respect, as well as self defense and the art of Uechi-Ryu karate.
